Black pepper is procured from mapped plantations and smallholder spice gardens, each registered with a unique farm or producer group ID on the AgrEco platform. Data on varietal selection, shade crops, input use, and harvest practices is captured to ensure residue-free, sustainable cultivation across diverse terrains and microclimates.
Post-harvest steps such as threshing, washing, drying, cleaning, grading, and packing are documented lot-wise so that every bag of peppercorns can be traced back to specific farmer groups and processing units.
